Lleida.net to donate one day's salary to lend a helping han

d to Lleida Food Bank.

Lleida, 16 November.- The multinational technology services company Lleida.net will contribute a full day's salary to its staff to the Gran Recapte of the Food Bank of Lleida, the city where the company was born back in  1995, and this year will happen online.

The company, which is listed on the New York, Paris, and Madrid Stock Exchanges, has collaborated with the Food Bank for 12 years now.

Every year, the company offered all employees a day off, so they could volunteer on the project. However, for  2020, due to the restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the initiative will be carried out online for security reasons.

“We are devoted ourselves to Lleida, and we are proud of  carrying Lleida in our name throughout the world. As this could not be otherwise, this year we are going to contribute what we would have contributed in other years to the Food Bank, and we will do it online”, explained Sisco Sapena, founder of the company.

The Food Banks of Catalonia have distributed mover 15 million kilos of food in 2020, and basic foods worth more than 2 million euros have been purchased.

“This year, the campaign has been held online to minimize the risk of spread  and  to avoid the classification of the food collected, which as a result of the pandemic cannot be done. We firmly believe  that next year will be different, and we want to thank Lleida.net one more time for  being alongside all the citizens of Lleida ”, explained Antoni Fo, president of the Food Bank of the province.

The Gran Recapte campaign will take place this week, until 21 Saturday.

Last July, Lleida.net acquired all the tickets for the classical music concert that was to be held in favour of the Lleida Food Bank and which had to be cancelled due to the lockdown.

Lleida.net, founded by Sisco Sapena in 1995, is the most international company in the province and is considered the European leader in the registered  electronic notification and contracting sector.

With  offices in 19 countries it has been granted  187 patents in more than 50 countries across five continents.
