Lleida.net increases sales by 25% until Sept and comes clos

Barcelona, 26 October 2017.- Lleida.net, a leading company in the field of certification and electronic notification, reached sales of 7,18 million euros during the first quarter of this year, an increase of 25% compared to same period of 2016.

The increase in sales is due to the acquisition of large accounts in all Lleida.net business lines. By business lines, it should be noted that registered electronic sales have increased by 76% compared to the same period in 2016 reaching 1,33 million euros. Regarding data validation, there has been an increase of 10%, while the increase invoicing in SMS services has been up to 35%. 

The company's gross margin increased by one million euros, from 2.76 million in September last year to 3.76 million at the end of the third quarter of this year, which represents an increase of 36%. Moreover, the gross margin represented 48% of sales a year ago, nowadays that percentage has risen to 52%. 

The EBITDA continues in positive territory, 928,000 euros, which allows Lleida.net to confirm the change of trend in recent quarters and to achieve its goal to close year 2017 with benefits. Ebitda has risen from 1% of sales during the first nine months of last year to assume the current 13%. As for the profit before taxes, the company has managed to reduce its losses by 98% to 30,000 euros.

For Sisco Sapena, CEO of Lleida.net, "the results show that we are working in the right direction and this has been reflected in the continuous evolution of the main figures in our profit and loss account.” He adds: “During the third quarter we have obtained the patent for our Registered email method in China, the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Australia, the  electronic contracting patent  in the United States, and we have participated in international meetings that have increase our visibility among investors In fact, this visibility together with the grant of the new patents have resulted in an increase in international sales, which currently  accounts for 43% of global sales of the company.”

Finally, it should also be noted that Lleida.net has increased its staff by 27%, from 45 employees at the end of June of previous tax year to 57 in this second quarter. The hiring of new staff responds to the need to strengthen the sales department and international departments.
