The Spanish Patent and Trademark Office grants Lleida.net a

new patent

Madrid,15  June .- The Spanish Patent and Trademark Office has granted Lleida.net (BME: LLN; EPA: ALLLN) a new patent for its certified email method.

The patent,  corresponds to the Spanish listed company's method for the certification of electronic mail containing a qualified electronic signature by a telecommunications' operator, and it is valid for 20 years.
Awarded with the number ES2765706 (T3), it is the second patent the company achieves in Spain for its certification methods, as well as a digital witness in electronic contracts and notifications.
It derives from the European patent EP3188435, which was granted by the European Patent and Trademark Office in 2019 named “Method for certifying an electronic mail comprising a trusted digital signature by a telecommunications' operator”

Compared to other models, the Lleida.net method allows the sending of digitally signed certified email with a qualified signature without breaking the already existing signature at the time of the certification. The system generates a documentary evidence, that can be submitted to courts and public administrations to proof the sending, content, delivery and non-tampering of the information.
"We have been granted more than 140 patents worldwide, which have helped us establish ourselves as one of the main players in the digital signature industry worldwide, but to be recognized again within our  market is indeed a great pride,"  explained Sisco Sapena, CEO and founder of the company.
"Our shareholders should know that, in addition to continuing to advance in our international expansion, we will keep working to consolidate our position as the leader in the Spanish market," he added.
The company, founded 25 years ago, has strengthened its Research and Development work to support new products to reinforce the validity of digital business communications issued remotely
