Slovenia and Malta grant two new patents to Lleida.net

Madrid, December 8th - The governments of Slovenia and Malta have granted Lleida.net (BME:LLN) (EPA:ALLLN) (OTCQX:LLEIF) two new patents in the field of certified electronic communications.

These recognitions join the other 192 patents already granted to the Spanish company by more than 50 countries from the five continents.

The patents, granted by the Slovenian Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) and by the Department of Commerce of the Republic of Malta correspond to its "Method for Registration and Certification of Electronic Mail".

They are valid for 20 years.

According to the company's CEO, Sisco Sapena, "the concession of these patents shows once again Lleida.net's commitment to R&D investment and our administration of the company's results".

"For us, preserving the advantage of our intellectual property assets in the different markets where we operate is key to render more and more profitability to our shareholders," he added.

The company is listed on the OTCQX index in New York, as well as on Euronext Growth in Paris and BME Growth in Madrid.

During this year, the company's shares have increased in value by more than 900 per cent, making the company one of the fastest-growing companies in Europe.

Among the countries that have conferred patents to Lleida.net are the United States, the European Union, Japan, China, Australia, Israel, the Gulf Cooperation Office, Mexico, South Africa or New Zealand.

The organisation, which has operations in 19 countries, has become in the last years the chief European actor in the digital signature field.

Currently, the company's patented methods are recognized as valid for certifying legal notices in contracting processes by the authorities of more than 70 countries.
