Lleida.net (BME:LL) to obtain patents in Japan, Taiwan and

New Zealand for its registered email delivery method and to reinforce its electronic contracting business

Madrid, June 12.- Japan, Taiwan and New Zealand authorities have granted Lleida.net (BME: LLN) three new patents, thus consolidating its position in the electronic notification and contracting market in Asia and Oceania.

In particular patents for its registered delivery email method, which allows Lleida.net to provide service to 2,900 million people around the world.

Lleida.net also has patents in other key markets, such as the United States, the European Union and China.

Lleida.net, listed on the Alternative Stock Market and with registered office in Madrid, its more than 75 patents granted in the last two years strengthen its international position into the digital contracting market (esignature).

According to P & S Market Research, the electronic contracting market, or esignature, will grow six times in the next five years, and will become a market of over 9,000 million dollars per year.  

The method of Lleida.net allows the company to act as digital witness in any electronic notification or electronic contracting generating a certificate with legal validity that can serve as evidence in court to prove the sending, the content and delivery of information.

The mail goal of its R & D & I strategy happens to be a key player into this new industry.


PATENTS IN US, EUROPE AND CHINA

On May 21, the company announced the granting by the United States Patent and Trademark Office of its fourth patent namely for its method of sending and delivering registered SMS.

The company has more than 75 global patents including in Colombia, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the Gulf Cooperation Council (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates).

Currently, over 70 countries recognize the legal validity of electronic methods to certify legal notifications in contracting processes.

Lleida.net has recorded an increase in the share price of 32.84 percent since it began in 2018, to 0.89 euros. The current capitalization of the company exceeds 14.2 million euros.

In 2017, the company had a turnover of 9.9 million euros, which represents a 23% more than previous year. Its EBITDA reached 1.3 million euros, 117% more than in 2016. During that time, the company reduced its net debt by 23% to 2.4 million euros. The company recorded profits for the first time in 2017.
