Lleida.net gets its first patent in Nigeria

Madrid, 3 June  2020.- The Nigerian authorities have granted Lleida.net (BME: LLN; EPA: ALLN) the first patent on electronic notification and certification in Nigeria.

The patent, granted by the Nigerian Intellectual Property Office, corresponds to the company's method for the certification of electronic mail with  a recognized electronic signature by a telecommunications' operator, and it is valid for 20 years.

The Lleida.net method allows the sending of digitally signed registered email with a qualified signature without breaking that signature at the time of the certification.

The system generates a legally documentary evidence, valid  before the courts and public administrations to proof the sending, content, delivery and non-tampering of the information.

The Spanish company, which is dual listed on the Madrid Alternative Stock Market (MAB) and Euronext Growth in Paris, has been operating in Africa since 2014, in particular in South Africa with  offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg.

On the continent, Lleida.net is a provider of Registered SMS and emails for the postal services of South Africa, Zambia and Botswana.

Regarding Intellectual property the company has over 150 patents for electronic certification  in various parts of the world, including South Africa.

In the region, it works in other countries such as Botswana, Kenya or Ghana.

Lleida.net's methods are recognized as valid to certify legal notifications in contracting processes by the authorities of over  70 countries.

The company, founded 25 years ago, has strengthened its Research and Development work to support new products and  to reinforce the validity of digital business communications issued remotely

Lleida.net is currently positioned as the company whose value has grown the most in the MAB in 2020, with 214% growth.
