Lleida.net gets 33 new patents in 19 European countries

Madrid, 23 June.- The listed technological services company Lleida.net (BME: LLN; EPA: ALLLN) has received 33 new patents from 19 European countries in recognition of its innovations in the field of registered electronic communications.

The patents have a term of 20 years and the company considers that they will bring revenues of over 25 million euros during that period, in the Software as a Service (SaaS) segment.

They correspond to the adoption by the national authorities of those countries of two patents granted to the company by the European Patent Office at the beginning of 2019.

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Croatia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Norway, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Sweden, Slovenia, San Marino and Turkey have granted patents for the invention called “Method for the registration and certification of receipt of electronic mail”.

On the other hand, the "Method for certifying an electronic mail comprising a trusted digital signature by a telecommunications' operator", has also received a patent from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Croatia, Macedonia, Malta, Norway, the Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden, Slovenia and San Marino.

“In the digital signature sector, the companies that are going to be the market leaders are those with a relevant body of intellectual property, and we are already, one of the companies with the highest number of patents in electronic notification and contracting of the world ”, explained Sisco Sapena, CEO and founder of the company.

The company has received over 170 patents in the eSignature sector, where it is already a benchmark company at European level

Currently, over 70 countries recognize the legal validity of electronic methods to certify legal notifications in contracting processes.

Lleida.net, which is dual listed on the Alternative Stock Market (MAB) and Euronext Growth in Paris, was recognized as the first Spanish company to receive the type approval of qualified electronic registered delivery service of the EIDAS regulation

The company yesterday registered all-time highs on the Madrid Stock Exchange and its market capitalization stood, for the first time, above 60 million euros.

Next Friday, Lleida.net will distribute dividends, also for the first time in its history.
