South Korea grants Lleida.net its sixth patent

Madrid, 4 March.- South Korea has granted Spanish technology firm Lleida.net (BME:LLN) (EPA:ALLLN) (OTCQX:LLEIF) its sixth patent in the country. This time, the patent is for their method of certifying electronic contracts.

Awarded by the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), the recognition is titled "Platform and Method for Certifying an Electronic Contract for Electronic Identification and Trust Services (EIDAS)" and is valid for 20 years.

EIDAS is a European regulation governing rules for identification and trust services in electronic transactions within the EU.

This technology provides certification of email receipt, including digital evidence to verify receipt, content, delivery, and data integrity, which holds up in courts and public administrations.

This marks the sixth recognition from Seoul authorities, adding to Lleida.net's impressive portfolio of 309 patents worldwide across over 60 countries.

Currently, 11 Asian countries have acknowledged Lleida.net's innovations, including Japan, China, the Gulf Cooperation Council, India, and Israel.

Lleida.net's growth strategy involves a robust focus on intellectual property and R&D, along with bolstering internationalisation efforts.

As the European leader in registered electronic signature, contracting, and notification services, Lleida.net has been publicly traded since 2015, initially on the Madrid Stock Exchange, then on Euronext Growth Paris in 2018, and later on the OTC Markets of New York in 2020. Its shares are also listed on the stock exchanges of Frankfurt and Stuttgart.
