The US Patent Office to grant patent to Lleida.net for Regi
stered sms delivery methodMadrid, May 21. - The US Patent and Trademark Office has just granted Lleida.net (BME: LLN) a new patent for its Registered sms delivery method
This technology allows notification through text messages, since it generates a certificate with legal validity that can be presented as evidence in courts to prove the sending, content and delivery of any information.
The patent, granted for 20 years, strengthen the company as an operator in the world's largest market in property rights and technology services.
This is Lleida.net’s fourth patent on registered methods, digital witness for electronic contracting and electronic notifications by the US Patent Office during the past two years.
"Henceforth, we have a very powerful suite of services to provide contracting and electronic notification services in the US market, which is key to the development of the company, "explained Sisco Sapena, CEO of the company.
Last March, the company obtained a patent for Method for the Registration and Certification of Receipt Electronic Email . Registered email patent and registered electronic contract was granted in 2016 and 2017 respectively.

In addition to the North American ones, the company has more than 70 electronic certification patents across world, including the EU, Colombia, China, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Taiwan, South Africa and the Gulf Cooperation Council (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates)
23% GROWTH IN 2017
In 2017, the company had a turnover of 9.9 million euros, which represents a 23% more than previous year. Its EBITDA reached 1.3 million euros, 117% more than in 2016.
During that time, the company reduced its net debt by 23% to 2.4 million euros.
