Lleida.net and The Professional Couriers, an Indian company

Madrid, 25 September. Lleida.net and The Professional Couriers (TPC), an Indian company with 125,000 workers globally, have signed  a joint service development agreement and launch in the United Arab Emirates a new  service of Digital Courier for public and private companies.

The service has been given the name of "Digital Courier" and was presented yesterday in Dubai to several hundred clients. The new company, based in Dubai, will offer its services immediately and it aims to sign thousands of new customers in its first year of operation.

As a result of this agreement, TPC uses Lleida.net's patented technology to send Registered SMS, Registered email as well as Registered electronic contracting being particularly relevant to the new UAE standards for claiming outstanding payments.

Once up and running in the Emirates, the intention is to export it to other countries where TCP is implemented, such as India, Kuwait, Singapore or Sri Lanka.

Recently, the Dubai government approved debt claims to be sent electronically, while all Registered communications by Lleida.net, founded 25 years ago and acting as a “digital witness” of electronic transactions, may have legal validity in administrative and judicial proceedings.

"Once up and running in the Emirates, the intention is to export it to other countries where TCP is implemented, such as India, Kuwait, Singapore or Sri Lanka. Such an agreement is favourable for our income statement and our commitment to investors, ” said Sisco Sapena, CEO and founder of the company.

For customers, the services will be used using web technology, not requiring the installation of any software, and with a pay-per-use model.
Lleida.net operates in 19 countries including the European Union, the Gulf Cooperation Council, the United States, India, South Africa or Colombia.

The company has signed connectivity agreements with over 1,500 companies worldwide, and last week announced two  new agreements with China Mobile and China Telecom thus giving access to a network with about one billion users.

On 27 December, it became the first company to receive eIDAS approval for its Registered email system, which allows its electronic certificates to be admitted by default to any European court or administration.

The company, listed since 2015 in the Alternative Stock Market (MAB) and since 2018 in Euronext Growth, has been granted over 100 patents worldwide in the area of registered electronic communications.

On 27 December, it became the first Spanish company to receive EU  eIDAS certification. On the other hand, the Professional Couriers, is based in Mumbai, operates in 128 countries and has offices in New York, Singapore, Dubai, Doha, Kuwait, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
